Czas trwania: 07:00-17:00

Available every Saturday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday.

We will pick you up from your hotel and drive to St. Catherine Monastery. It was built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian in the 6th century AD, although there was a church already at the site of the Burning Bush, erected by Empress Helena in 330 AD.

The way takes around 2.30 or 3 hours. During the way, we will make one stop to see a beautiful valley with lovely sand dunes. Then we will go directly to Catherine Village and visit the monastery, which lies at the foot of Mount Moses in the heart of South Sinai. This is one of the most famous monuments of South Sinai with a lot of attractions like the Church of Transfiguration, the Skull House, Moses Well and the Burning Bush. You will make a guided tour to see all of them with historical explanations from our licensed guide.

After visiting the monastery, you will have some free time, during which you can visit the museum of the monastery, containing the oldest icons and manuscripts of the early stage of Christianity. It is the world’s second largest collection of illuminated manuscripts after the Vatican. The entry to the museum costs 25 LE (not included).

Then we will drive back to Dahab City, where we will have our lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch you will have a chance to do shopping in Dahab or look round this wonderful city. At around 17.30 – 18.00, you will arrive back at your hotel.
